Arsenal transfer news: Unai Emery could yet bring one player to the Emirates
Arsenal boss Emery has already had a busy summer, making five signings after succeeding Arsene Wenger.
The Spaniard moved quickly to snare Stephan Lichtsteiner on a free transfer from Juventus and has since shelled out on Bernd Leno, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi.
And Football London say that Emery could yet make one more signing for Arsenal this window.
The Gunners have been linked heavily to Barcelona players Ousmane Dembele and Andre Gomes.
Dembele toiled at the Nou Camp after his £134million move from Borussia Dortmund last summer.
The France international was signed to replace Neymar but, ultimately, failed to meet expectations.
Gomes, meanwhile, has endured two nightmare years at the Nou Camp.
Sevilla’s Steven Nzonzi is another player in Emery’s sights.
Yet Football London suggest Arsenal may need to sell before they buy – and Welbeck looks set to spearhead an exodus.
The England international, who made just one appearance as Gareth Southgate’s side reached the World Cup semi-finals, has blown hot and cold ever since his move from Manchester United in 2014.
As well as Welbeck, Lucas Perez, Shkodran Mustafi, Carl Jenkinson, David Ospina and Chuba Akpom may be shown the door.
But former United striker Welbeck would be Arsenal’s biggest casualty of any exodus – and may be the player who will go for the highest fee.

Emery, meanwhile, discussed Arsenal transfers at his press conference this afternoon.
“We signed the players who we needed and only if one player is a big opportunity for us will we sign them,” he said.
“Normally, we are thinking about the young players, the possibility of them staying with us or going to play on loan at another team.
“We are also thinking about the players who were with us last year and whether we need them to stay with us.
“At the moment, I think the squad is complete. We will only sign another player if there is an opportunity to bring in that one player, or two players.
“We will only sign a player in the next month if he’s a big opportunity.”
