Barcelona news: Marc-Andre ter Stegen expects Man Utd to bid for him
Barcelona star Ter Stegen is being linked with Manchester United at a time where David De Gea’s future is far from certain.
De Gea remains on the radar of Real Madrid and, despite reports saying a new contract is in the works, the Spaniard is yet to sign an extension.
Ter Stegen, meanwhile, has blossomed for Barcelona this season and helped the Catalan giants close in on the La Liga title.
And Spanish outlet Don Balon say the German thinks United could try and snap him up should they lose De Gea.
Jose Mourinho is understood to have told Red Devils chiefs to get a new De Gea contract sorted as soon as possible.
But, with Real sniffing about, that may be easier said than done.
Madrid nearly landed the Spain international back in 2015, only for a faulty fax machine see the 27-year-old stay put.
Don Balon say, though, De Gea’s future is still up in the air.
And that uncertainty could pave the way for Ter Stegen to leave Barcelona and sign on as his replacement.
The Germany star has supposedly told his inner circle he expects them to make a move for him.

The report says Ter Stegen could cost £87million, which could make him the most-expensive goalkeeper in football history.
Meanwhile, Ter Stegen recently named De Gea in his top five goalkeepers on the planet.
"De Gea, Neuer, Buffon, Alisson, Ederson,” he said.
“I can't say who is the best, because all of them have their qualities.
“There are many goalkeepers out there who can make a difference.”
