Local reporter Brigid Grace Edmunds posted a picture of the ‘heavy police presence’ in the area

The Wilkes-Barre Township Police Department in Pennsylvania said they are looking for a “white male wearing dark clothing” as they issued a desperate appeal for information.

The department said: “Police are looking for a white male, wearing dark clothing, believed to be armed with a shotgun.

“Anyone who observes a person matching this description should call 911.”

Local reporter Brigid Grace Edmunds posted a picture of the “heavy police presence” in the area of “downtown Wilkes-Barre”.

She wrote: “Heavy police presence in downtown WB. Portions of WB Blvd., Pennsylvania Ave. and Butler St. are blocked off to traffic.

“City police are reportedly looking for a white male believed to be armed with a shotgun.”
