Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave the Bernabeu for PSG
Real Madrid face off against PSG in the Champions League this week, aiming to defy the odds and make the quarter-finals of the competition.
Los Blancos have come in for plenty of criticism this season with the La Liga title out of reach and their Copa del Rey hopes already over.
Ronaldo himself has been regularly blasted for his poor domestic form but it has been a different story in the Champions League, where he has already struck nine times.
Talk of a move to PSG has been rife with Neymar wanted at Real Madrid as his replacement.
And Spanish outlet Don Balon say Ronaldo has told his inner circle he wants to go to Paris in the summer.
The 33-year-old’s time at the Bernabeu looks to be drawing to a close.
The Portugal international wanted to leave in the summer with a return to Manchester United mooted.
A move ultimately failed to materialise with Ronaldo instead sticking it out.
But the 33-year-old is understood to be seething at Los Blancos’ refusal to offer him a big new contract.
And Don Balon say Ronaldo has now made a stunning move to PSG his No 1 priority.
Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo could leave for a new challenge elsewhere
It is said he has been interested in moving to PSG ever since they were given a huge cash injection back in the summer of 2012.
But, for now, his focus is on knocking them out of the Champions League.
Ronaldo’s best hopes of retaining the Ballon d’Or hinge on firing Los Blancos to a third consecutive triumph.
But with PSG in such devastating form, Real face a huge battle to put Unai Emery’s side to the sword.
