The Marvel sequel has what some fans are calling “the best post-credits scene ever”.

But there were some ideas that never quite made it into Deadpool 2’s end credits.

According to Paul Wernick, co-writer of Deadpool 2, there were plans for Captain America star Chris Evans to appear.

Chris Evans played Human Torch in two Fantastic Four movies

asked if there were any post-credits scenes that didn’t make the cut.

The writer said: “There were different codas kicked around.

“There were more X-Force interviews that were talked about. One was Chris Evans as Human Torch.”

Marvel fans will know that before he was Captain America Evans played Human Torch in Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

So why didn’t it happen? Asked if Evans said no, Wernick replied: “No, no, we never got that far.

“Someone had the idea we actually did and we thought that was better.

“But we definitely had a lot more X-Force interviews with bizarre, random people coming in to interview.”

Deadpool 2 end credits cut a scene where Deadpool killed baby Hitler

Wernick told “It was cut just because, it was at the very, very end, and it left the audience with this, 'Ohhh?'

"It's like, 'Sure, it's baby Hitler, but it is a baby. It's kind of weird to watch that....We are Deadpool but there is a line we can't cross."

Deadpool 2 is out now and released in the US on May 18.
