EA Servers are down around the world.

It doesn't matter what platform you're playing on - whether that's PC, Xbox One, PS4 or Nintendo Switch - a lot of players seem to be experiencing issues with the logins across EA's online games.

FUT match creation was disabled at 6.30am UK time today on all FIFA 18 platforms in response to the downtime.

It was meant to return online at 10am UK time (2am Pacific), but EA had to extend the maintenance period - currently, there's no new time the game is due to go live.

The EA Help Twitter account posted around 10.40am: “Update for FIFA players: Scheduled maintenance has had to be extended.

“We'll update again once it has finished. Thank you.”

Independent outage monitor Down Detector received hundreds of reports of FIFA 18 and EA down over the past few hours, with EA Down reaching a peak of 283 reports on Down Detector while FIFA 18 down reports have hit a peak of 223 reports.

This downtime is happnening before TOTW 30 goes live on FIFA 18 - you can see more about that below.

Many fans aren't happy that the service is down.

One Twitter user writes: "Why are the servers still down on Fifa when it’s past 2am"

Another angry fan writes on the social media platform: "When will FIFA servers be back up? Why are they down AGAIN!?"

A parent chimes in with: "The kids day is RUINED, RUINED *apparently* due to Fortnite and FIFA both being down for maintenance....."

We'll keep you updated as more news breaks about when you can expect the servers to go back up.
