Following the shock exit of Aidan Maguire (played by Patrick Bergin) last night, EastEnders will fill the evildoer’s void with another nefarious character.
Monday will see the arrival of Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths), Keegan’s (Zack Morris) estranged father, and Karen’s (Lorraine Stanley) ex.
Viewers will see Mitch arriving on BBC soap at the Arches, where he is in need of repairs for his van.
However it quickly becomes apparent that Mitch has obviously had a tense past with the Taylors, leaving the family to wonder whether he has arrived with ulterior motives.
EastEnders: Mitch Baker is set to be attacked by Keanu, but will it stop him from sticking around?
His short upcoming stint on the show will see Mitch acting suspiciously throughout his stay, leaving Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) unhappy with his presence in the square.
As he becomes more frustrated with Mitch, Keanu eventually tries to get him to leave before the rest of his family notice what Mitch is up to.
In first look pictures, Keanu is shown in Mitch’s face pointing threateningly.
But it looks like this interaction quickly escalates as Keanu can then be seen furiously hitting Mitch.

So coming in as Mitch – the wild card, meant I had to hit the ground running
Will this act of aggression be enough to get rid of Mitch? Or has he returned for good to make amends with his ex and son?
Soap star Roger commented on his arrival to the BBC soap, saying: “The Taylors are an established tight-knit family on the square.
“So coming in as Mitch – the wild card, meant I had to hit the ground running.
“I had a brilliant time and the actors who make up the Taylor family made me feel at home instantly. It was love at first sight.”
EastEnders: Mitch will also be seen trying to rekindle his love with Karen
Viewers have also seen stills of the newcomer’s attempt at rekindling the passion between himself and ex Karen.
