Fortnite has announced that the games next big update - known as Update v3.5 - will be releasing later today, Wednesday April 11th at 4am ET (09:00 BST).
No server downtime has been mentioned, but, with most Fortnite updates there is usually downtime, so it's possible this could be announced in the morning.
The official Twitter account for the game announced the news earlier this evening, but so far, there's little to indicate what exactly might be coming to the game when the update arrives.
That being said, there are a number of good ideas as to what Epic's developers could be planning.
For instance, the tweet announcing the update pretty much confirms the addition of the newly revealed Port-a-Fort grenade.
Which for the sake of anyone who missed it before, can be used to “sprout a quick defensive position upon impact”. In short, it builds you a massive fort in seconds.
Perfect for gaining the high ground when you need it most.
Beyond this, we have to take things with a small pinch of salt, but developers on Twitter have dropped some big clues about other updates coming tomorrow.
We've listed these under the gallery below, as well as some of the potential bug fixes which could be arriving too.
Guided Missile changes
Epic’s Community Coordinator Chris Attalus has stated on Reddit that adjustments are coming with v3.5.0, telling users:
"We want to provide items that can allow for many different playstyles and tactical play, all within the thematic world of Fortnite. We're going to continue to iterate on the game and add new items, with the hope that we continue to create fun, new gameplay experiences.
"As for the Guided Missile, lots of the feedback has been valid and you will see adjustments made in the v3.5 patch tomorrow."
It also looks like we’ll be able to tell when a trap is friendly after tomorrows new update, as again, Chris Attalus hinted at some potential changes once again on Reddit.
Attaluse simply teased: "You should take a look at the v3.5 Patch Notes when they dropm" when one fan called his out and requested a way to tell if a trap was friendly or not.
As mentioned, the above are not set in stone, and until patch notes become available we can't say for sure, but it certainly feels like the above, along with maybe more changes, could be coming tomorrow.
Now keep reading for those potential bug fixes.
FORTNITE BUG FIXES
There are a number of important bug fixes coming with tomorrow’s patch:
Floating weapon/unable to shoot
“Quickly cycling through weapons or switching to build mode can cause your weapon to appear to float or keep you from being able to shoot or build.”
Unable to build
“Players may encounter a temporary issue with building even with the correct amount of materials.”
Unable to edit structures
“Players may sometimes become locked out of editing friendly structures.”
Random controller vibrations
“Controllers are vibrating at times when they shouldn’t.”
Visual problem with the Rabbit Raider outfit
“Players may notice visual problems with the ears while wearing the Rabbit Raider outfit.” This is expected to fix problems with Raven too.
General hitches during gameplay on console
“The amount of longer hitches on console has steadily increased over the last few builds.
As far as we can tell the root cause is blocking loads and we are pursuing two approaches to improve the situation.
Making sure we are not blocking on file I/O and removing cases where we incorrectly are.
Improving load speed.
The latter is done by re-ordering our assets on HDD which requires shipping a large patch on PS4 and Xbox One. This is currently planned for v3.5.”
