Fortnite Mobile developer Epic Games reveals new information
The Fortnite Mobile iOS selection process has been detailed by Epic Games.
In a new FAQ, Epic has explained how its Fortnite Mobile iOS selection process works.
According to the post, invitations will be sent out based on sign up order, device models and even the proximity to the data centre.
“Factors that contribute to the order in which players receive invites include sign-up order, proximity to a data centre, and device model,” the post reads.
“If your friend got invited by Epic, check with them to see if they have a friend code to share with you.”
In order to maintain a “healthy player population”, Epic will scale its services to handle more players.
“We’re sending out invites as our services scale up to handle more players with the goal of maintaining a healthy player population,” Epic continues.
“Not everyone will get in at the same time. After you sign up at www.fortnite.com/mobile, you will be notified via email once you get in.”

And while the release date remains a mystery Epic’s track record of delivering speedy updates means that fans shouldn’t have to wait too long to play Fortnite Battle Royale on iOS.
In the meantime have been warned against clicking false download links.
“We have not sent out any mobile invites yet. Please be aware of false mobile download links. Our official URLs are Fortnite.com and Epicgames.com.”
Fortnite Mobile is described as the full Battle Royale experience with no compromises.
It features the same map, the same content, the same unlockables, gameplay and even the same weekly updates.
The only restrictions are that users must have an internet connection, and iOS 11 on iPhone 6S/SE. iPad Mini 4, iPad Air 2, iPad 2017, iPod Pro and later.
“We will send you an email invitation with a link to download the game from the App Store, as soon as you can play,” Epic continues.
Anybody yet to receive a download code will be placed on the waiting list.
