Fortnite Season 5 Patch Notes REVEALED: 5.0 Changes, Battle Pass, World’s Collide TEASED

Fortnite Season 5 Patch Notes REVEALED: 5.0 Changes, Battle Pass, World’s Collide TEASED

Fortnite Season 5 is due to arrive tomorrow – after a week of intense build-up from Epic.

The new Season of the world’s most popular game of the moment is due to kick off on July 12 at roughly 11am.

Fortnite is due to go offline at 9am, and will go back online with some huge adjustments made to the map, as well as some significant changes made to the Battle Pass.

All we know so far is that Epic has released an image of an axe and a mask – both of which supposedly play into the new theme.

It seems like the new Season will have a historical setup, or even time-travel.

That idea has been pushed even further today, with the new update teasing ‘Worlds Collide’

After seeing various props from the game turn up around the real world, and seeing rifts eat away at various locations in-game, are we to assume Epic is literally going to smash two maps together to create a new one?

That’d be cool… we’ll find out tomorrow.

Some news about what updates we can expect to see in the game have already started leaking.

According to the Fortnite Trello board, update 5.0 will fix a series of long-running Battle Royale and Save the World issues.

This includes a problem with renaming replays in Battle Royale, and Builder Pro Latency in Save the World.

You can catch a few of those below:

Battle Royale fixes…

• Renaming a replay causes the “Points of Interest” to disappear on the replay timeline (Fixed in next update)

• First win does not grant umbrella (Investigating)

Save the world fixes…

• SeeBot Audio is louder than intended in the “Don’t Blink” event mission (Fixed in next update)

• Builder Pro Latency (Fixed in next update)

 – Holding down the “Build” button while using the builder pro layout will sometimes cause the previously selected building pieces to be placed unintentionally

• Tracks cannot be placed in “Deliver the Bomb” missions while using the Builder Pro controller layout (Fixed in next update)

• BR Loading Screen appears when selecting StW from the Game Mode Select Screen (Fixed in next update)

When will Fortnite Season 4 end?

Epic has been running a countdown in-game to show players how long they have to complete tasks, before the Battle Pass is taken away ahead of being replaced by Season 5’s.

Players get an extra two days to complete all their tasks – just over 18 hours at the time of writing – thanks to previous issues with Season crossovers before

So if you’re keen to grab everything you can in Fortnite Season 4, you’re going to want to grab what you can over the next day.

Fortnite Season 4 will end on July 11 2018.

So, When will Fortnite Season 5 start?

Fortnite season 5 is set for a release date of Thursday, July 12

That’ll make the new season go live one day after Season 4 ends.

According to Epic, you can expect the Season to go live at 9am BST, 4am ET and 1am PT.

Do be aware, however, that Epic has previously delayed these start times thanks to the backend works it needs to carry out on servers when these changeovers happen – so bear that in mind and prepare for delays ahead of the new Season going live
