Barcelona news: Lionel Messi thought Samuel Umtiti was not focused amid Manchester United talk
Barcelona were dumped out of the Champions League on a chastening night in Rome, with Roma winning 3-0.
The Serie A giants went into the match needing a miracle but goals from Edin Dzeko, Daniele de Rossi and Kostas Manolas made it a night to remember.
Lionel Messi was dire for Barcelona with the Argentina international cutting a frustrated figure throughout the match.
And Spanish website Diario Gol say the 30-year-old was livid at Umtiti at half-time.
The France star is understood to be on Manchester United's radar ahead of the summer.
Umtiti wants Barcelona to significantly increase his pay at the end of the season in order to prevent a move to Old Trafford.
Diario Gol say Messi was fuming at the player at the interval and believed his mind was not on the Roma match.
Instead, he supposedly berated Umtiti for lacking focus on the biggest night of their season.
However, Umtiti was not the only player said to be incur Messi's wrath.
The Barcelona talisman was also said to be angry at Jordi Alba, who cowered on a chastening night.
The shock result means Roma are now dreaming of Champions League glory.
