Wilfried Zaha Crystal Palace West Brom Premier League

Liverpool transfer EXCLUSIVE: Wilfried Zaha has been tipped to swap Crystal Palace for Anfield

That’s the verdict of Eagles legend Clinton Morrison, who’s also discussed the winger’s failed move to Manchester United.

Zaha has forged a reputation as one of the Premier League’s most exciting attacking talents and played a key role in Palace’s survival push this season.

The Ivory Coast international’s performances at Selhurst Park have not gone unnoticed with admiring glances cast his way from a cluster of top clubs.

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is thought to have Zaha on his radar as he looks to bolster his squad of a title push during the 2018/19 campaign.

Morrison, who enjoyed two successful stints at Crystal Palace, believes the 25-year-old should stay close to his south London roots for now though.

“He could do, it’s a big call,” Morrison told Express Sport, when asked if Zaha could make the step up and join Liverpool.

“I did Sky with Thierry Henry the other day and we were speaking about it and he was saying: ‘Yeah, he’s just gotta be a bit more consistent and do it on a more regular basis.’

“But he has started to do that this season. And I do think he’s got that ability and stuff like that.

“But, I don’t know, maybe another season or a couple more seasons, then it’s probably time to go. I don’t think any Palace fans will want him to go just yet.

“I just think he made that move to Man United, it probably wasn’t the right time there and he wasn’t quite ready to go to make that step up.

“So I think another season, or couple of seasons, then he could make that move.”

Zaha, who weighed in with nine goals and three assists this season, has insisted he’s content with life at Palace.

“I have no plans on leaving,” he said. “I’m enjoying my football, you can see how much I’m enjoying it. This is my home and there’s no reason for me to leave.”
