Brendan Cole made the announcement just weeks after he broke the news that he had been dropped from BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing.
Appearing to confirm the rumoured romance between Mollie King and her Strictly dance partner AJ Pritchard, the 41-year-old confessed that he had suffered a seriously awkward encounter with the pair last year.
Revealing the huge secret on stage during his All Night Long tour, Brendan recalled the time when he caught the dance duo looking cosy backstage during an episode of the BBC competition.
The New Zealander told fans: “One evening I went in the boys’ changing room, walked in the door and there were AJ and Molly.

“I wouldn’t have thought anything of it if they had gone, ‘Hey, Brendan, nice to see you’.
The Strictly pro continued: “But when I walked in the door, they went, ‘Sorry, sorry! Didn’t see you there’.
“Two young single people who get together on the show — it’s great, right?”
Rumours of romance between Mollie and AJ began to circulate during Strictly Come Dancing last year, after the duo appeared to look cosy during training.

And, last month, fans were left convinced by the supposed relationship last month, after Mollie shared a series of sexy snaps of herself during a stay at a luxury spa.
Fuelling the rumours, AJ then posed topless as he posted his own poolside selfie on Instagram.
Mollie, 30, and the 23-year-old choreographer have denied claims that they are together in the past.
Brendan, who confirmed that he wouldn’t be returning to the BBC One show last year, also spoke out about his shock departure during his nationwide tour.

Speaking to fans, the ballroom dancer said: “The worst thing about leaving is that Anton Du Beke has outlived me on the show.
“He’s my best friend, he’s great.”
Brendan appeared visibly emotional last month as he told Lorraine Kelly on her ITV talkshow that he hadn’t been asked to return to this year’s series of the BBC show.
The Strictly professional, who has starred on the show since its birth in 2004, said: “I’m a little bit in shock. I’m quite emotional, a bit raw about it.”
