NFL news: Dez Bryant is still on the hunt for a new team after his release by Dallas Cowboys
That’s the view of Michael Irvin, who won three Super Bowls with the Cowboys during an 11-year career with Dallas.
Bryant was cut from the Cowboys in April and is still to find a team.
That’s despite being the NFC East side’s all-time receiving touchdowns leader with 73.
Bryant made six touchdowns in 2017 from 69 receives and went a total of 838 yards - his best return since 2014 when he made 1,320 yards and 16 touchdowns.
But he’s still unsigned as the new NFL season draws closer and Irvin believes the 29-year-old is just waiting to see his best options.

“Dez can still play football and, I think, play at a high level,” Irvin said.
“Dez certainly is in an offense in Dallas that asks him to do certain things and we get used to seeing him do (those) certain things.

“But you put Dez with the right kind of people that can really use his talent, you get him around the right team with the right offensive coordinator with the right mindset that can really use his talent, he can be very effective.
“But I don’t know where that will be. I’m surprised that more people haven’t been trying to get Dez on their football team.
“And I know Dez wants a one-year deal and be able to prove himself next year, but I am surprised it’s gone on this long.”
There has been plenty of speculation surrounding Bryant’s future since the Cowboys released him in April.
He reportedly turned down a deal with Baltimore Ravens while San Francisco 49ers were also believed to be keen to sign him.
