Real Madrid news: Cristiano Ronaldo told Zinedine Zidane to drop Isco
Real Madrid are currently in action against PSG at the Bernabeu aiming to take a first leg lead back to Paris.
Zidane sprung a major shock before the game when he left Gareth Bale on the bench in favour of Isco.
And Spanish outlet Diario Gol say the decision has rankled with Ronaldo, who did not want the Spaniard in the team.
Real Madrid’s season all boils down to their two games against Unai Emery’s side.
Los Blancos have endured a nightmare season with the La Liga title well out of reach due to Barcelona’s staggering form.
They will also not be winning the Copa del Rey having been dumped out of the competition by Leganes last month.
As a result, Ronaldo wanted Bale to take to the field against PSG.
But Zidane, Diario Gol say, chose to go with the Spain international amid fears at what being left out may mean.
Isco’s stock is high with the player wanted by Manchester City and Chelsea.
And Zidane feared leaving him out may push him closer to the exit door.

Meanwhile, speaking before tonight’s game against PSG, the Frenchman insisted his side had nothing to prove.
“We are not going to change what people think of us, I will try and work which is my passion, I will try to put across a lot of things and the rest I cannot control,” said Zidane.
“I don’t have to show anything, all I can do is focus on the game and that is what is important for me right now. Not what people will say about me.
“Being PSG it is true that as I am from Olympique de Marseille that there is a historical rivalry but I am concentrating on Real Madrid against PSG.”
