Meghan Markle is due to marry Prince Harry this Saturday at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

But Ben made an embarrassing gaffe about the wedding when he and Susanna Reid interviewed Labour politician Tom Watson on Good Morning Britain.

Ben asked Tom if he would be watching the ceremony.

He questioned: “Will you be watching the wedding tomorrow?”

Recognising Ben had got the date wrong, Susanna jumped in to correct him.

She exclaimed: “Don’t watch it tomorrow. Watch it on Saturday!”

Ben then declared: “It feels like we’ve been talking about it for weeks.”

Later on in the programme, they showed footage from the outside of Windsor Castle as preparations are underway for the wedding.

Reflecting on his mistake, Ben laughed: “Don’t go down tomorrow.”

Susanna chimed in: “Because Ben will be there but no one else will!”

Yesterday’s instalment of the breakfast show saw Susanna make a surprising confession amid more discussion of the Royal Wedding.

The presenters were talking about the drama surrounding the ceremony after Thomas Markle’s attendance at his daughter’s wedding was questioned after he told gossip website TMZ he would be having a heart operation.

Susanna admitted the chaotic family situation had left her feeling “anxious” about weddings.

Piers Morgan commented: “Look, it’s a lively week. It’s certainly not what normally happens in the run up to a royal wedding. Anything could happen.”

“It just makes me increasingly phobic about weddings,” Susanna replied.

“You are?” Piers questioned.

“Yes,” Susanna confirmed.

Piers then stated: “It’s not going to make you get married anytime soon is it?”

Susanna exclaimed: “Or anyone else who might have anxiety about it!

“I mean they are big days but they just become bigger and out of control.”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
