Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is on sale with £200 savings
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 was easily one of the best smartphones of 2017.
This giant 6.3-inch device is packed with features including a stunning curved design, fast processor and inclusion of Samsung’s clever S Pen stylus which tucks neatly inside the glass and metal case.
When Express.co.uk reviewed the Note 8 last year we said: “There’s no question the Note 8 is one of the best phones Samsung has ever created.
“It’s fast, powerful and has one of the best screens we’ve ever seen on a smartphone.
“Samsung’s clever bezel-free design also means that, despite its giant 6.3-inch screen, the overall dimensions aren’t that much larger than the iPhone 7 Plus.”
There was little to criticise the Note 8 other than its ludicrous £869 price tag but this stupidly high price has just been dropped in a very impressive new deal.
An offer from Mobiles.co.uk means Galaxy fans have the chance to pick up this stunning call maker for just £669.
That price makes this hugely powerful device cheaper than both the new £739 Galaxy S9 and £869 Galaxy S9+.
Sadly, if you fancy taking delivery of the Note 8 at this low cost there’s not long as the ultimate offer runs out later today, April 17.
To refresh your mind the Galaxy Note 8 boasts an expansive 6.3-inch Infinity Display with a 2960 x 1440 resolution that’s designed for multi-tasking and productivity.
Powering the phablet is a Qualcomm SnapDragon 835 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM.
Samsung also includes a stylus – the S Pen – which can be used to manipulate apps, or scrawl handwritten notes.
The Note 8 is water resistant, includes 64GB of expandable memory, and capable of wireless charging.
Samsung has included two 12-megapixel cameras on the back of the Note 8, with both fitted with Optical Image Stabilisation, or OIS.
There is a wide-angle and telephoto lens, which enable the Galaxy Note 8 to zoom to 2x without losing quality.
It also enables a DSLR-style depth of field effect in portrait photos with the blur even able to be changed after the photo is taken.
Although this new lower price makes the Note 8 a very tempting purchase it’s worth knowing that an updated device could be coming soon.
Samsung usually unveils its new Note range in August, but 2018 might see this phablet shown to the world a little earlier with some suggesting a July reveal.
According to some reports, Samsung has already begun testing the firmware for its next Galaxy Note smartphone – which is much earlier than last year.
To add fuel to the early launch rumour, Sammobile states that testing for the Galaxy S9 launch began around five months before that device was unveiled.
If the same happens to the Note 9 we could see a reveal as early as July 2018.
There may be another reason why Samsung might launch this device early as it would give it time to get it in stores long before Apple releases its next big upgrades.
The US technology firm is famed for its September events and Samsung may get an advantage by releasing things a little earlier in the year.
It’s currently unclear what new features will be included on the Note 9 but one rumour suggests Samsung may have finally worked out how to place the fingerprint scanner under the display.
