Melania Trump, 47, look defiant as she stepped out with her husband in recent days.

Last night she appeared at the Federal Emergency Management Agency Headquarters yesterday.

Melania Trump wore a safari inspired dress. 

The evening before she appeared at another White House event with her husband to honour Gold Star Families.

The appearance came after 24 days out of the public eye for the First Lady, causing much speculation as to her whereabouts.

Though she has just undergone a kidney operation, which was announced by her communications director on 14 May.

Stephanie Grisham, said: “This morning, first lady Melania Trump underwent an embolization procedure to treat a benign kidney condition.

“The procedure was successful, and there were no complications.”

Last night Donald Trump took to Twitter to hit out at speculations about his wife, including unfounded facelift rumours.

He wrote on his social media account: “The Fake News Media has been so unfair, and vicious, to my wife and our great First Lady, Melania.

“During her recovery from surgery they reported everything from near death, to facelift, to left the W.H. (and me) for N.Y. or Virginia, to abuse. All Fake, she is doing really well!”

At the National Response Coordination Center inside the FEMA headquarters in Washington Donald also address the surgery.

At the event the president referred to his wife as “our great First Lady” and said: “She went through a little rough patch but she’s doing great.”

He added: “The people love you … thank you, honey.”

Melania herself took a swipe at the media speculation via her own Twitter account.

On 30 May she wrote: “I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I’m doing.

“Rest assured, I’m here at the @WhiteHouse w my family, feeling great, & working hard on behalf of children & the American people!”

Melania seems to be slowing going back to work but she won’t join Donald Trump in Canada this week. 

The President will head to Canada for the G7 summit on Friday, and prior to her hospital stay, it was expected Melania would join him as she has done for summits in the past.

But her spokeswomen told ABC News Melania would not be heading to Canada with Donald.
