Cena and Bella announced the end of their relationship yesterday just a year after getting engaged at WrestleMania 34.
The Champ’s first tweet reflected on the surprising split.
The 16-time world Champion tweeted: “Hardship, loss, and humility are extremely difficult waters to navigate, but perseverance thru [sic] them builds a strength to withstand anything life throws your way.”
Cena also shared various posts on his Instagram that look to be related to the breakup.

He posted a picture of a broken heart two days ago and a quote by Walt Whitman yesterday that said: “We were together. I forget the rest.”
His most recent post had a picture of The Simpsons’ Comic Book Guy Jeff Albertson and was captioned with: “Worst Day Ever.”
Cena and Bella had been dating for six years and won over the hearts of a global television audience in the reality TV series Total Divas.
The Champ proposed to the ex-Divas Champion last year at Mania after they beat The Miz and Maryse in a Mixed Tag Team Match.

The couple looked set to get married but decided to call it quits shortly after WrestleMania 34.
Bella shared a post on Instagram yesterday claiming it was a difficult decision to make and there is still a lot of love and respect between her and Cena.
The post read: “After much contemplation and 6 years of being together Nikki Bella and John Cena announced today their decision to separate as a couple.
“While this decision was a difficult one, we continue to have a great deal of love and respect for one another. We ask that you respect our privacy during this time in our lives.”
